Ultima Markets login: two doors, not one

The client portal and the trading terminal are separate systems with separate credentials. Most sign-in trouble is a person standing at the wrong door.

Ultima Markets keeps two separate sign-ins: the client portal, where a Malaysian client registers, uploads MyKad or passport, and moves money, and the MetaTrader terminal, which needs a login number, a server name and its own password. A password reset in one does not change the other.

Which door does what

The client portal is where identity lives: registration, MyKad or passport upload, the address document, the cashier that accepts ringgit — Malaysia Pay is listed from 20 USD up to 50,000 MYR per deposit, stated at 1 hour — and the withdrawal request, listed from 40 USD up to 20,000 MYR per transaction at 2–5 working days. It signs in with the email address you registered with. The terminal — MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 or the WebTrader — holds no documents and no money at all: it signs in with a numeric login, a password issued when the trading account was created, and a server name. Three fields, all three of which must match, across the 4 account tiers the broker operates (Standard, ECN, Standard Cent and ECN Cent, each opening from 50 USD — figures published by Ultima Markets and read on 15 September 2026).

  1. Open the client portal on the broker’s own domain and sign in with the email used at registration
  2. Complete verification — MyKad or passport plus a proof of address — before the first deposit is accepted
  3. Fund the account from the portal cashier: the Malaysia Pay rail is listed in MYR/USD from 20 USD, with a 50,000 MYR ceiling and a stated 1 hour processing time
  4. Open the terminal with its own three credentials: login number, password and server name
  5. Check which tier the login belongs to: the cost model differs by tier, and the figures the broker publishes for each are set out with their read date on the EUR/USD spread page

What to check before you assume the password is wrong

When a MetaTrader login fails, the server field is a common cause and worth checking before the password. A demo login will not open on a live server and a live login will not open on a demo one, and the correct server is printed in the portal beside the trading account. The mobile app adds biometric unlock on the device, which protects the phone — not the account: the terminal password itself still travels wherever you type it.

One habit is worth keeping: open the client portal from the address printed on the broker’s own site, not from a search result or a message, and never type the terminal password into a page that arrived unsolicited. If money has already moved somewhere it should not have, note that a complaint from Malaysia does not reach the FCA — the account is held by an offshore company of the group — Ultima Markets (Mauritius) Ltd (FSC licence GB 23201593) or Ultima Markets (Pty) Ltd (FSCA FSP No. 52497), named in the client agreement — not by Ultima Markets UK Limited, whose authorisation under reference 470325 is on the FCA Register (entity list read on 15 September 2026) — so the written record from your own side is what you will be working with.

Trading hours in Malaysian time

Malaysia runs on MYT, UTC+8, with no daylight saving — the clock never moves here. What moves is everyone else’s. The forex week opens around 05:00 Monday and closes around 05:00 Saturday local time, and both edges shift by an hour twice a year when the United States changes its clocks while Malaysia does not.

That has a practical consequence for signing in: the daily roll, when spreads widen and swaps are charged, lands in the small hours of the Malaysian morning, not at a moment you are likely to be watching. Bank Negara Malaysia also publishes a Financial Consumer Alert List covering entities outside its own authorisation.

Sources and verification dates

Portal and terminal behaviour, the cashier limits and the app’s biometric option were read on Ultima Markets’ own pages on 15 September 2026. Who reads those pages and what this site is not allowed to claim is on who checks the numbers. Background on the platform itself is covered in Wikipedia’s MetaTrader 4 article, and the regulatory standing of the brand in Malaysia is published on the Securities Commission Malaysia Investor Alert List.

Two systems, two passwords, one common mistake

The client portal holds identity: registration, the MyKad or passport upload, the address document and the cashier that moves ringgit. The terminal holds only orders. They are separate services with separate credentials, and resetting one changes nothing in the other.

Almost every 'my password stopped working' turns out to be a person entering portal credentials into MetaTrader, or a live login pointed at a demo server.

The sign-in sequence that works the first time

Open the portal from an address taken off the broker's own site. Sign in with the registration email. Read the trading account's login number and server name from the portal page. Only then open MT4, MT5 or WebTrader and enter those three fields.

The mobile app adds biometric unlock, which secures the device rather than the account: the terminal password still travels wherever it is typed.

What a Malaysian client should know before trouble happens

Open the client portal from the address printed on the broker’s own site rather than following a link from a search result or a message, and never enter terminal credentials on a page that arrived unsolicited. The portal is the door that holds documents and the cashier, so it is the one worth being careful about.

If something does go wrong, the escalation route is narrower than it looks. A Malaysian client’s account is held by an offshore company of the group — Ultima Markets (Mauritius) Ltd (FSC licence GB 23201593) or Ultima Markets (Pty) Ltd (FSCA FSP No. 52497), whichever the client agreement names — not by Ultima Markets UK Limited, whose FCA authorisation under reference 470325 can be checked on the FCA Register; the entity list was read on the broker’s own site on 15 September 2026. UK complaint channels belong to the UK firm and do not follow an offshore account, so your own written record — timestamps, screenshots, email rather than chat — is what you will be working from.

Frequently asked questions

Why do my portal password and my MT5 password differ?
They are two systems. The portal holds identity, documents and the cashier; the terminal holds only order flow. The terminal login is a number issued when the trading account is created.
What do I do if I cannot sign in to the terminal?
Check the server name first — a terminal login fails against the wrong server even when the number and password are right. The correct server is shown in the portal next to the trading account.
How do I know I am on the real client portal?
Open it from the address printed on the broker’s own site rather than following a search result or a message, and never enter the terminal password on a web page. The portal holds documents and the cashier; the terminal holds only orders.
