Status, in one paragraph

Ultima Markets Malaysia is an independent information site published at ult-malaysia.com. It is not a broker, not an introducing broker, not an investment adviser and not a payment service. It holds no authorisation or licence from any regulator, in Malaysia or elsewhere, and it does not claim supervision by one. It holds no client money, opens no accounts, executes no orders and has no access to anyone's account.

It is also not Ultima Markets and is not affiliated with Ultima Markets. The broker does not commission, review or approve anything published here, and nothing on this site should be read as a statement made by the broker.

What the button does

The button at the foot of every page reads “Open an FxPro account”, and that is literally what it does: it opens a registration flow at FxPro — a different broker from the one this site writes about. It does not open an account with Ultima Markets, and pressing it does not send anything about you to Ultima Markets.

If what you want is an account with Ultima Markets, the button is not the route: registration happens on the broker's own client portal, and the steps are described on how to open an account.

How the site is paid

FxPro may pay this site for a referral when someone reaches it through that link and becomes a client. That is the whole commercial model: no payment from Ultima Markets, no paid placement, no sponsored wording, no fee from readers.

Two consequences are worth stating because they are the ones a reader should be sceptical about. First, the site has a financial interest in the button being pressed, which is why the pages carry a broker the money does not come from and print its unflattering facts as prominently as its flattering ones. Second, the referral pays nothing for accuracy — so accuracy is enforced by the source-and-date rule described on the sources page, not by goodwill.

The regulatory position of the broker this site covers

This is separate from the status of the site, and it is the part that matters most to a reader in Malaysia.

There is no Malaysian licence behind the account: the Securities Commission Malaysia lists Ultima Markets on its Investor Alert List with a 2024 entry whose remark reads “Carrying on unlicensed capital market activities of dealing in securities” (read 15 September 2026).

For a client in Malaysia the account is held by the offshore side of the group, not by the FCA-authorised UK company: the broker’s own entity list, read on 15 September 2026, names Ultima Markets (Mauritius) Ltd (FSC licence GB 23201593), Ultima Markets (Pty) Ltd (FSCA FSP No. 52497) and Ultima Markets EU OÜ (Estonian registry code 17134727, payment facilitation) — which of them signs a given account is stated in the client agreement rather than on the public pages, and this site does not guess.

Ultima Markets UK Limited is authorised by the FCA under reference 470325 — read from the broker’s own entity list on 15 September 2026 — but that authorisation belongs to the UK company and does not extend to an account opened from Malaysia. The entry itself is on the FCA Register, where reference 470325 can be looked up directly.

Risk, and what this site never does

CFDs are leveraged products and carry a high risk of losing money rapidly; losses can exceed the initial deposit. Leverage listed up to 1:2000 shrinks the margin a position needs and enlarges the loss the same move produces — that is arithmetic, not an opinion.

This site does not give personal investment advice, does not recommend an instrument, a position size or a moment to trade, does not manage money and does not promise that any figure on it will still be true tomorrow. What it promises is narrower and checkable: that every figure names where it came from and when it was read.
