MetaTrader 5 is the terminal to choose at Ultima Markets unless you are carrying MQL4 code you cannot rewrite: it is listed on all four tiers, and the two cent-denominated ones — Standard Cent at 0 USC and ECN Cent at 5 USC, covering 60+ currency pairs and gold — exist only here. Every tier opens from 50 USD with leverage listed up to 1:2000.

Ultima Markets offers several platforms — choose by pricing model, what you trade and your device. The two Cent tiers are listed on MetaTrader 5 only, so the terminal can limit which tier an account runs on. The source and read date behind every account figure on this site are explained on how a figure gets published.

The only terminal reaching every tier

MetaTrader 5 is listed on all four Ultima Markets accounts — Standard, ECN, Standard Cent and ECN Cent. Two of those exist nowhere else, which makes this page the place where the terminal question is settled: pick the tier first, and MT5 is the only option that never removes one.

Instrument reach differs by tier rather than by terminal: 250+ CFD instruments on Standard and ECN, 60+ currency pairs and gold on the two Cent tiers.

Installing it and the two failures that look like a wrong password

The terminal is downloaded from the client portal after the account exists, and it signs in with three fields: a numeric login, its own password and a server name. The server is the silent one — a live login refused on a demo server is indistinguishable from a bad password, and the correct server is printed in the portal beside the trading account.

The second failure is scale. Default volume boxes are set for balances far larger than the 50 USD minimum, so the lot size has to be chosen deliberately rather than accepted.

What cent denomination changes, and what it does not

A 50 USD deposit on a standard tier meets a micro lot worth 0.10 USD per pip — a 60-pip day is 6 USD, over a tenth of the balance. The same notation on a Cent account moves one hundredth of the money, so a position can exist without dominating the account.

Leverage is unchanged at up to 1:2000 and so is the 50 USD minimum. Cent denomination is a change of scale, not of risk — and before the first order it is worth checking three things against the tier you believe you opened: whether the symbol list is the 250+ set or the 60+ Cent set, whether commission shows in USD or USC, and which server the login is bound to.

Frequently asked questions

Which terminal should a Malaysian beginner install?
MetaTrader 5, unless there is existing MQL4 code to protect. The cent tiers that make a small ringgit deposit workable are listed on MT5 only; the MQL4 migration cost is set out on the MetaTrader 4 page.
What does 0 USC commission mean?
USC is a cent unit. The Cent tiers quote balance and commission at one hundredth of the dollar scale, so the same arithmetic runs at a smaller size.
Why does my login fail even with the right password?
Almost always the server field. A live account login refused on a demo server looks identical to a wrong password; the correct server name is shown in the client portal next to the trading account.
Does the terminal change what a trade costs?
No. The tier sets the price — 1.0 pips with no commission on Standard, or 0.0 pips with 5 USD on ECN — and the terminal only places the order.
